Dear residents, dear caregivers,

The entire Château Westmount team is delighted to wish you a Happy New Year 2024! We hope that it will be full of novelties and joyful moments. Because the most beautiful projects are created together, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the trust you have placed in us. Your loyalty to our team is a key part of our success and we would like to emphasize it! Your satisfaction remains at the heart of our concerns and your suggestions contribute significantly to our evolution. In 2024, we aspire to continue to strengthen our relationship and remain worthy of your trust and loyalty.

Happy holidays!

 Zara Pilian, Executive Director

It is with great pleasure that we announce our Christmas lunch menu taking place on December 25th at 12h00.

Please make sure to make your reservation at the reception before December 19th.

Looking forward to celebrating with you all!

We would like to reassure our clients regarding the strike mandates in the health sector. As we are still a private establishment, our employees are not affiliated with the government’s collective agreement and therefore their union is not part of the group that will soon go on strike.

The planned actions and strikes from the government’s health care system employees will have no impact on the dispensation of services at the Château Westmount. Just so you know, our collective agreement does not expire until 2026.

So, no need to worry.

We will vaccinate our residents next week (Monday, October 23rd) for flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

If you did not have a chance to sign the consent form, you can authorize the vaccination by phone with the nurse.

You can expect our residents to be a little under the weather next Monday; don’t be alarmed.

Fever and fatigue are common side effects of both vaccines.

There is no counter indication to administrate both vaccines at the same time.

You can get more information on the government’s site

Thank you for your collaboration

Although autumn is coming and the weather is changing, on our side everything is stable. We are still negotiating the last part of the contract. The government’s latest offer did not allow us to operate properly, so we were forced to reject it.

This does not mean that the negotiations are over. On the contrary, we are still working very hard to reach an agreement that will benefit everyone, including our residents.

At this time, we prefer not to set a timetable. It is impossible for us to predict when this journey will end, but that does not shake our trust in our partners.

We will keep you updated with the latest news as soon as we have information.

Unfortunately, we must announce the return of the wearing of masks inside the C.H.S.L.D. Château Westmount.
The number of respiratory virus cases is on the rise in the metropolitan area, including COVID-19 cases, and the fact that residents have not yet received their vaccines forces us to make this decision for their protection.
We apologize for the inconvenience but are sure this measure will not drag on in time. At the same time, we recommend that visitors and caregivers receive their flu shots.
We would also like to remind you that if you have symptoms of breathing problems such as:
  • Sore throat
  • Cough
  • Runny nose
  • Ear pain
Or, nausea or vomiting, you can not visit the center.
We ask that you abstain for a few days to protect our residents and employees.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation

Last week we held our day of thanks to our employees.

During the party, a BBQ specially prepared for them, was available in the garden.

The exceptional quality of care and services provided at Château Westmount can only be explained in one way… We are fortunate to have the best and most dedicated employees. Everyone who works here cares about the health and well-being of our residents.

“There is no limit to the recognition we can express and the thanks we can give.” – Norman Rickard
