As you know, the C.H.S.L.D. Château Westmount’s change of vocation has been underway for several months. The process is a contract between the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), the CIUSSS and the company operating Château Westmount.

This contract covers several financial and operational aspects and ensures the safe delivery of services for residents.

We have covered several important aspects of this contract, but we are still discussing certain administrative and/or financial clauses. Although the work is progressing rapidly in collaboration with the MSSS, we must accept that it will not be completed by the scheduled date of April 1, 2023.

We are confident of finalizing an agreement in the near future and will communicate a new date as soon as we can.

We understand that this news may cause inconvenience and we apologize for it, but both at the level of the MSSS and on our side, we want to take the time necessary for the agreement to maintain the services and quality of care that have made the reputation of the Château Westmount.

As a result, we will have to maintain the contracts signed by residents. For residents who are currently in a transitional bed, this will not impact you because the CIUSSS will continue to respect the choice of permanent change of destination when the Château is under the agreement.
