We are pleased to report that the prevalence screening performed Thursday, December the 10th produced no positives. This bodes well. The number of active cases is decreasing, and some residents are returning to us from the hospital. It appears that the wave has crested.
We continue to work so that our residents may celebrate the holidays in familiar and reassuring surroundings. Such is the case on the 3rd floor, where residents can finally leave their rooms and enjoy the common areas.
The 2nd floor will undergo a full disinfection operation as of Monday the 14th. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to have all the rooms ready in time for the end of the isolation period. Some residents may have to wait for a day or two, while we attend to our meticulous tasks.
Once again, thank you for your support and your understanding. Join me in giving our healthcare workers, housekeeping, kitchen staff, and the team of professionals, a heartfelt bow of gratitude for their resilience and their devotion during these most difficult of times.
The Château Westmount community is strong.
