It’s On… Videoconference, Visits and Dinning Area, All Starting Back This Monday

For an unknown reason, the English version of the blog was not sent out. We are sorry for this technical problem. Please find below the English version that should have been sent last week.

Many of you will probably say out loud FINALLY.

Yes, we are resuming visits to the Oasis as well as video conferencing starting Monday, January 18^th.

The terms and conditions will be the same as before the COVID-19 outbreak.

For those who do not have access to a computer and want to come and visit, you can contact the front desk. Please note that the reception will not be able to book video conferencing for you.

In addition, residents will be able to start eating in the RC dining room again next Monday.

We remind you that we are still in confinement, so it is mandatory to wear the mask, and no physical contact with the residents is allowed (distancing of 2 meters required).

Visits and Videoconference’s Reservation Calendar

Hello!

We have extended the booking from the visits calendar until December 21, 2020. This will allow us to plan the holiday schedule.

We also have modified the videoconferencing schedule. From now on, the videoconference will last 45 minutes, the same length as the visits. Don’t forget that a maximum of three connections can take place at the same time.

Videoconferences already reserved in the previous format (20 minutes) will be kept on the schedule.

Remember that if you have a cold, gastro, or COVID symptoms you cannot show up for visits.

Problem With Zoom Conference – Re-booking Is Needed

We experienced a problem with the videoconferencing bookings that required us to reconfigure the associated Zoom account.

As a result, we had to cancel bookings starting June 22 and subsequent dates. With the problem resolved, we invite families to re-book their conferences.

Zoom Reservation Calendar – We Finally Fixed It

We finally fixed the problem of hours in the booking schedule for the video conference.

However, in order to implement the solution, we had to cancel all bookings from June 23 and subsequent dates.

We’re sorry, at least it will be for the last time.

Modification of the Videoconferencing and Beginning of Garden’s Visits

Finally, this is the long-awaited moment, we will open the garden for visits from family members starting Monday, June 15, and this, seven days a week (7/7). On the other hand, there will be rules that you will have to follow.

As with video conferencing, you will need to register in advance via an online booking schedule, the time slots for visits are 45 minutes. We must allow 15 minutes between each visit to disinfect the tables.
A maximum of two visitors per resident will be accepted, in order to respect the social distance required by Public Health;
Hand washing and the wearing of the mask and gloves that will be given to you at the entrance to the garden is mandatory;
There will be no contact with residents;
If you bring gifts, you will have to leave them at the main entrance for disinfection, they will be given to the resident later;

You must understand that our residents are still at risk. Having had no contamination inside our walls, they do not have antibodies to protect them. We have therefore developed these measures to allow the families and our residents to be closer together without sacrificing their health.

In addition, since the visits will allow up to six (6) families at the same time, we will have to reduce the number of videoconferencing. We will only have one tablet assigned to Zoom conferences (so 1 employee) per day during the week. In order not to penalize anyone, we will cancel the meetings already booked for June 15 and subsequent dates. Those who still wish to take advantage of this mode of communication will have to re-book a date on the calendar.

Reservation Calendar Temporarily Not Available

We are preparing for the opening of the garden for residents’ visits scheduled for June 15. This means that we need to change the availability of video conferencing and prepare a new booking schedule for visits.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RESERVATION SYSTEM IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE

Booking schedules for video conferences and garden visits will be back in service shortly.
