Welcome to CHSLD Château Westmount

Château Westmount is a private residential and long-term care center (CHSLD) licensed by the Department of Health and Social Services, located in the Westmount neighborhood and in the territory of the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. It is composed of 112 private rooms with private bathroom spread over 4 living units.

Mission

Built in 1990, Château Westmount has always had the mission to offer permanent or temporary accommodation and assistance services to adults with loss of autonomy who have physical or cognitive disabilities that no longer allow them to live in their own home or natural environment.

Our philosophy

Is based on respect for the integrity of the person. Every person living in accommodation is first and foremost a person with needs and abilities. They have a social aspect and belong to a family and a community. The relationship with the elderly person, their family, and their loved ones is at the core of our organization and the living environment we provide. This relationship is one of nurturing, listening, supporting, sharing, and valuing the independence of the individual. The needs and expectations of residents constitute the foundation of any decisions related to organization, treatment, and management.

At present, Château Westmount has four Units that offer a range of health care services based on the needs of the client:

  • Elderly individuals with loss of autonomy ;
  • Elderly individuals, with physical impairments
  • Elderly individuals with cognitive impairments (Alzheimer disease, dementia)
  • Convalescence or respite (when available)
  • End of life care
  • Nursing care/assistance 24 Hrs/day
  • Doctors on site 3 days/week and on call 7/7

Three meals a day served in the main dining room on the ground floor or in the dining rooms of care units carefully prepared by our Chef under the supervision of the nutritionist.

  • Cyclic menus, winter and summer over 6 weeks each, offering a great variety. Meals adapted to the taste of each.
